Jason Borders

Ward 3 Alderman Candidate · Marengo, IL

Rooted here. Ready to serve Ward 3.

I've been showing up for this community my whole life.

Twenty-five years in Marengo and Union. In that time I've been part of Marengo Citizens for Change, helped build the planters you see downtown with Beautify Marengo, and served on the McHenry County Fair Board representing this area. I didn't need a title to get involved — and I don't need one to show up for Ward 3.

But Ward 3 deserves someone in that seat who takes it seriously. Someone who knows the streets, knows the people, and actually brings your concerns to the table. That's why I'm running.

What I'm committing to.

01

Support local businesses — work to bring new ones in and fight to keep the ones that make Marengo worth living in.

02

Get real answers on the roads — find out exactly what the plan is and keep Ward 3 informed every step of the way.

03

Stay accessible — your concerns deserve a real conversation. If you want to talk, I'll sit down and we'll work through it together.

About me.

I was born and raised in the Marengo and Union area — more than 25 years calling this home. Growing up I attended Zion Lutheran Church and was active in the youth group, helping out wherever I could.

I'm a Marengo FFA Alumni and serve on the McHenry County Fair Board, representing the Marengo area. I was part of Marengo Citizens for Change, a group working to improve life across the whole city — not just one ward. And I'm proud to be a member of Beautify Marengo — a volunteer group doing everything from street cleanups to building the planters you see in the downtown area.

Let's talk.

This is my personal email and my personal cell — you're getting me directly.

A Ward 3 neighbor who's already listening.
